Three Delicious Ways to Use Our Fruit Compote
All of our boxes always come with one sweet fruit option so I thought it would be a good idea to show you three delicious ways to use our fruit compotes! Obviously there’s your standard; add to a smoothie, stir in porridge, yoghurt or on toast but let’s get a little more creative than that people!
Simply mix our compote with your yoghurt of choice and freeze into popsicles to turn it into a fruity frozen yoghurt. Perfect as a healthy snack or dessert whilst also helping to get those 5 a day in!
Why not try stirring our seasonal compote into your batter mix when baking a cake to add a fruit spin to it, I mean how good does a strawberry and rhubarb cake sound?! Or spoon onto shop bought pastry and turn it into an apple turnover or Danish pastry as a special treat. How about using the compote to fill a crepe?
Use our fresh fruit compote to make a delicious jelly! Simply heat the compote as per the instructions. Put 2 gelatine leaves in a small bowl of cold water, one at a time so they don’t stick together and leave to soak. Mix the compote with 150ml of water and stir in the 2 drained gelatine leaves until completely dissolved, then pour into your jelly mould. Once cooled, place in the fridge and leave overnight to set. You could even use in a trifle!
